Behringer EQ700 Pedal

Quite simply an excellent pedal for the money.
Would be worth the money if it cost three times as much.Obviously the construction is not bullet-proof , but adequate as long as you treat it as you should a pedal.
Gave it a try at a gig last weekend , no extra noise , just the critical 3.2 Khz boost I wanted for my guitar to cut through the band.
No matter if you are a beginner , part time or full time muso , this makes a handy addition , especially if you play with gain.
Lets face it , who is dull enough to pay upwards of 65 quid for an eq pedal ???

small but powerful

As I don`t have much space when it gets to production and everything is happening mostly on my small desk or even more often on the bed, Novation Remote 25 LE works great. It`s very compact but it includes everything what you will need and that`s the biggest advantage of having it. Keys seem to be very durable and they work smoothly. 25 LE is equiped with 4 way joystick and a touchpad which provide you with a flexibility while working with software synthesizers. It also includes templates for example for Cubase, Logic and some synths so you won`t have to asign controlers for those applications which is quite handy.....

In general if you are not a pro musician an you don`t need to record complex melodies and you don`t have much space in your home, this keyboard would be great for you......

When i went to buy a keyboard i knew that it needed to be compact because i live in a shoe box sized house and it also needed to give you plenty of control, This keyboard did not dissapoint.

There are 9 dials and 9 buttons that you can assign in 2 banks a/b which means its just like having 18 and changing banks couldnt be easier as its done at the rouch of a button. Next to these dials are buttons labled for your transport controlls which are again easily accesable.

There is a touchpad which can be used to make some crazy sounds in your softwear and the x/y joystick glides smoothley.

Editing the presets for the dials was incredibly easy and the keys feel much nicer than most keyboards i have played and are a good size.

All in all this is a great keyboard and has a very sturdy feel and design and i would definatly recomend this to anyone working in a small space.

X/Y pad and joystick at this price!

This is excellent for me as I own a knobless keyboard (Roland A37) and needed to get a controller. The low price plus the X/Y pad and joystick made this too good an offer to miss. I own a laptop so the keys will get used when I'm in portable, minimal studio mode.

  • Part 3: Section 1: MIDI controllers

Long live software instruments! Gone are the days when you needed a stack of keyboards to create tunes, as everything can now be done inside your computer at the click of a mouse. However, do you really want to be playing all of that software with a mouse? Wouldn’t you rather be doing it all with a proper piano type keyboard? Eh? So doesn’t that mean a return to piles of keyboard again, the very thing that software replaced? No! All you need is one keyboard to control every soft instrument you own! So you’d better make sure it’s a good one, right? Yes, and fortunately, or unfortunately depending on your viewpoint, there are loads of different sorts to choose from so we will discuss all of them here. And if you already own a keyboard but need extra control, don’t worry, because in Section 2 we’ll be looking at some keyboardless controllers that will enhance your desktop music making no end…
