These are a truly good pair of monitors. I previuosly bought a pair of the S8\'s and was thoroughly impressed so i thought id get a pair of the S5\'s aswell. Now owning both sizes of theses monitors i would reccomend the S8\'s over these. The 5\'s are amazingly good but if you want these for a home sound system or bassy mix sessions i would suggest buying the SW10 subwoofer just to add some low end output. Dont get me wrong, these monitors have a good range on them and superb quality, however, overall i think you get what you pay for and would spend the extra to get the S8\'s as they have a lower frequency output and therefore dont need a sub. Very good quality and an amazing bargain for a monitor in this price range.

Thanks very much to Simon @ Dolphin who recommended these to me. These are AMAZING speakers, I never thought you would get the quality for less than £200!
I am using these with an apogee duet and I can hear everything I need to produce a well leveled and rounded mix.
Thanks to Tapco and Dolphin, you both deserve a model for putting me onto these beauties!

I was put onto these by someone at dolphin after I asked there advice for cheapish studio monitors. I received them the next day and I was blown away! These were replacing an old pair of sprit monitors (remember them!) and the quality was out of this world, I have A-B'd them with my friends considerably more expensive Mackie HR 624's and the performance isn't far off, the price however is, £400 cheaper!
Thanks for the advice Dolphin, these were a hidden gems in the confusing sea of <£250 monitors that are available.

These speakers are well sweet for makin my beats. I had behringer truths, but one of them went on fire (I do have sick bass!), so I got rid and thought i'd try these. They are well good, and for the money I was well happy.
Nice one Dolphin.

Being pretty new to home recording and the likes, this set of speakers were the perfect buddies for me and my projects.
Saying this, anyone with ears knows quality sound when they hear it.
As many of the reviews around do say, these small yet punchy speakers offer a crisp clear high end and sweet sounding mids. Many people have said the low end frequencies arent so good however, the first time I switched them on the thing that hit me straight away was the resposiveness in the bass, so there was no arguing from me.
They come with the bass boost and treble cut and boost for those who dont have studio proffessional acoustics in their bedroom like me :) which has definitely come in handy.
Overall brilliant, clear, with flexible resposiveness and perfect for anyone who wants to start a home project who is willing to pay more than £100 for a set of sexy soundin speakers. My personal best buy.

The S5\'s are nice small speakers and do not take up a lot of room, plus they are very solid and you can tell that just by touching them. Each speaker weighs about 15lbs each so they are quite heavy.
For small speakers they are very loud and sound really good, the highs are really nice and the mids sound good as well. The only thing that let\'s these down is the fact that the low end isn\'t particularly that heavy but they do still pack a punch. Just note that the bass frequencies drop quickly below 64Hz so if you want full deep bass you\'ll want to add a sub.
Overall the S5\'s are well worth the price and you can get really good mixes out of them as they offer decent clarity and depth with a lovely smooth sound. The S5\'s would really suite those with a small home studio.

These monitors sound amazing for their size and are extremely accurate, however if you reside in the UK be prepared to pay more cash for a UK mains cable as these ship with a couple of continental ones.
