Bid on a First-Run Gibson Custom Jimmy Page Signature Double Neck, Signed and Personalized by Page Himself with Proceeds to Go to Charity!
From early British-beat classics, to rock-opera grandiosity, to “loudest band in the world” status, the Who have made an off-the-charts contribution to rock music, and guitarist and chief songwriter Pete Townshend made an enormous sonic impact with simple tools and a very basic—if undeniably inspired and energetic—technique.
“Hand-made” still carries a lot of weight in the realm of craftsmanship, in regards to musical instruments in particular. While the close, personal attention of Gibson’s skilled luthiers still gives Custom Shop guitars much of their cache, all of these fine electrics now have their playability perfected by an extremely advanced machine, known as the PLEK system.

It’s hardly surprising that many of rock’s most legendary guitarists have plied their craft on a Gibson SG. With its warm sustain, silky fretboard, and sharp cutaways, the SG is conducive to all types of playing—from searing solos to chunky rhythms to sinewy leads. Moreover, the SG’s sleek, lightweight design and striking beauty makes it a much-favored instrument for live performance.
A rare “aged” reproduction of Jimmy Page’s s signature Gibson EDS-1275 Double Neck Guitar is being sold for charity with eBay Giving Works, eBay’s dedicated charity listing program. The Jimmy Page Guitar Charity Auction began July 23 and will run through August 2, 2007 with 10 percent of the proceeds benefiting the MusiCares Foundation.
