The Guitar Link UCG102 interface is an amazing practice tool that lets you hook up your guitar to your computer in a flash, giving you the best of both worlds.

The UCG102 guitar-to-USB interface lets you jam and record using modeling amps and effects without the need for any other gear but your guitar. The compact interface links your electric guitar to a PC or Mac computer via a typical USB cable, allowing you to rock with sophisticated software such as the included Guitar Combos Behringer Edition from Native Instruments, Kristal Audio Engine multi-track sequencer and Audacity audio editor. It also features a Headphone output for silent practicing.

i have had this guitar interface
now for a month, had a bit a trouble installing softwear using vista,but finaly got there!guitar combos, ac combo, twang and plexi,you are only allowed one to fully install the others only play in demo mode, energy xt2 softwear,tried it but lost intrest,Anyway back to the guitar combos, if like me,i play the guitar not too good, but enjoy the slightest of improvements i make, This tool will improve your technique,plus the addition of being able to record your guitar lick. DOLPHINMUSIC ON LINE SERVICE I FOUND A GOOD PRICE AND LIGHTING DELIVERY SERVICE,my views from an old rocker , gary france.

Had this about a week. I\\\'m not a pro, I only tinker about at home and this is ideal. It could mean that you don\\\'t need an amp for your guitar, saving money and space! My PC just has on-board sound, but a decent sub and speakers and the sound is brilliant with no lag. The software is good giving access to 3 different amp packages but only 1 can be registered the other 2 are 30 day trials but great for the money.

I bought this device because I was going on a trip and I wanted to play my electric guitar without carrying an amplifier with me. I'm using it with my Apple Macbook (core 2 Duo) and Amplitube 2 and there is no latency at all. Easy to set up (no drivers for Macs) and I can monitor the clean sound through the device or the processed sound through my speakers. I haven't installed the software that came with it because I have other similar software.
My only problem is that the sound is not as good as when running your guitar through an amp. It's a bit artificial and it has less sustain. Other than that, it's a great device
