This guitar is simply a stripped down version of the original Ibanez K7 which was released in 2002 only this guitar is made to Korn guitarist Munky's specifications.
Despite having low output pickups which you wouldn't expect from a guitar designed for metal, this guitar makes the heaviest sound ever in disortion with loads of bottom end and it doesn't sound muddy at all, very clear sound. Sounds excellent clean aswell very smooth and clear.
The guitar plays great, suprisingly easy to play, great for anyone new to seven strings.
Very simple design, fixed bridge, 3 way toggle swith and just a volume pot on its own. The tuners are very sturdy and hold tuning very well. The green shadow flat finish looks great and the overall quality of the guitar is very good.
This is an excellent guitar for the price especially for Korn fans and seven string users or anyone looking for a good quality seven string guitar thats great all round and has no flaws apart from having no tone control which may be a down fall for some people but it doesn' really make a difference.
The Ibanez Guitar Clinic that took place last Saturday,10th October, at Dolphin Music Liverpool, was a huge success and we'd like to thank all of you who attended the event. Here's some photographs...
How did the guitar become the world's favourite instrument? Starts Sunday 5th October.
