A great guitar I own it and its the best Ibanez I own and I have a few. It has a fast,thin neck for solos and sounds great in the lower rangers thanks to EMG Pickups. I would not advise a move from 6-string to 8-string as it is alot more to take in but if you feel comfortable with the 7-string there shouldn\'t be too much of a problem
