Lovely definition and wide sound, just what you\'d expect from Sennheiser. Well-constructed enough that I don\'t feel the need to handle them like radioactive waste.
It feels like you\'re doing something right when you use these!

Having explored (and destroyed in heavy use) a number of headphones the HD 25 appear to finally meet my expectations. Great sound quality, suitable for both listening for pleasure as well as serious mixing work. Fantastic build quality. Very good isolation. Capable of very high volume even with low power devices. Bottom line: If sound is your preference over the look, BUY those.

These headphones are quite simply amazing. The definition and clarity of audio through these headphones is absolutely stunning.
Built quality is rock solid, I know these headphones are going to last me many years before I will ever need to do anything to them. The headphones are user serviceable, so you can replace all the parts (cable, earpads, headband etc) should any components wear out.
It may seem an expensive initial amount to pay, but you save in the long run. You could keep buying cheaper sets, which may last a couple of years, then wear out and then you have to replace the whole set of headphones. With these they have amazing build quality, but are also user serviceable, so technically they will last me a lifetime.
Not just that, but the sound quality you get from these is worth every penny.
I recommend you buy these headphones, it'll be the last set of headphones you ever need to purchase.

I would say a must have for everyone who is working in the business. My headphone has been flying around in my flight case tool kit for quite some time. the only thing that broke over time was the cable and the pads! Both are available as spares! I have to say, I am pretty rough with most my equipment, but that is engineering brilliance!
It sits on the head very nicely, one ear is movable, so you can keep the feel to the sound in the club or venue, but it shields well too when you put both on!
The sound is an absolute treat and even the weakest mixing desk amp will make enough base to hear it with 120 dB around your ears!
The Hoosiers, one of British indie rock’s biggest success stories in 2007 and 2008, have had a busy year of touring and festival dates. And they were using an array of equipment from Sennheiser the entire time.

The two important electrical specifications for a pair of headphones are the impedance of the phone transducer itself and its on-the-ear sensitivity.
