The new AES620 is an emotional rock machine of the highest magnitude. Sporting a carved, highly figured Maple top, this handsome setneck instrument speaks through a Seymour Duncan JB™ bridge pickup and a custom Alnico humbucker in the neck position. Separate volume controls for front and rear pickups, a master tone control, and a three-way toggle selector get you from power chords to solo in no time. Grover tuners keep the AES620 solidly in tune. The smooth Nato/Rosewood neck feels like an extension of your arm. AES620 – If you rock, your vehicle is ready.

Ok, I just bought one of these from Dolphin and I very impressed indeed - with the guitar of course, not with dolphin... they only provided excellent service and quick delivery :-)

Took her to rehearsals yesterday to put through paces, rather than just through my praccy amp at home...

She plays really well and for the price (sub £300), what you get in terms of quality, tone and 'feel', its a bargain. The finish is superb and from what I can surmise it is set up very well as shipped.

The controls are slick and roll off very nicely - they feel responsive yet solid and the seymour duncan pickup really suits the guitar. Natural sustain is good too.

The range of tones is impressive and its easy to achieve a really mellow soulful stuff through to piercing lead without using pedals, just based on gain and pickup selection alone.. like they were played in the good old days :-)

It wont replace my LP 57 Goldtop, but it does not disgrace itself in the same company.

But one... now... you won't regret it.
