Compresses louder signals while boosting lower signals for smooth sustain without degrading the original sound quality. Onboard EQ for precise tonal control and low-noise design for super-quiet operation.
This is a classic Boss pedal, used by many famous players such as John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers), John Squire (Stone Roses) and others.

This Pedal (alongside my SD-1 and my Digitech Whammy) is my favourite thing on my pedalboard for several reasons, the main one being its incredible versatility. My guitar playing is extremely varied from light rock to blues and Metal which are all at opposite ends of the polaris yet my CS-3 always manages to find its way on, whether it be giving my \\\\\\\'BB King tone\\\\\\\' some extra punch or (with the compression turned almost right down) adding a seemingly never ending sustain to my Lead tone. Honestly whether your playing Beatles-esque or Clapton-esque, hell even Dimebag-esque riffs this pedal is essential

I used to play with a stock Cs3. Although the pedal is quite value it has some problems. For instance is very noisy when the sustain know pass the middle point and it sounds a bit too thin. After looking for other compressors a mate told me about a company that sells kits to modify pedals. They got a site advertising their products:
www.pedaldoc.com
I was a bit sceptic at the beginning but I finally contacted them and bought one of their Cs3 Squeezer kits. I installed the kit and the different is unbeliable. Much more body and less noise. I am know going to keep on using my modified Cs3 until it breaks and when this happens (if) I will get another one and modify it again.

Such an under-rated pedal. Because you cant immediatly hear it like you can a delay/trem/flanger then you assume it isnt contributing to your sound. This pedal sings when playing high gain lead, artificial harmonics. The sustain is amazing compared to the new Behringer or the Danelectro models. Only reason I an 9 is because I cant get that nice Quack sound on clean patches although I can get a nices sharp attack sound which adds a lot of emphases on the instance a note is picked, giving it a sharp attack which i like when playing Tool style clean sounds. Overall, a truely great pedal but it needs time, plug it in for a day and play then unplug it and play the same stuff, then you notice!!!
