Meet the Power Screamer, the most unique sound to ever come from a distortion pedal. The smooth overdrive tone coming from the JRC4558 IC can be pushed into deliciously compressed distortion with almost a reverse attack effect if desired. At the heart of the Power Screamer is the 3-way diode switch, the key to colouring the tone of this unit. True bypass? What do you think…this is no toy…not for the squeamish.

H.B.E. used to say that this overdrive was based on the “808” circuit but they feel that this comparison is no longer valid. Features the original JRC4558 IC. Quiet, no mid-hump, transparent, more gain, more output. Features an additional 10-15 db gain boost switch for solos, selectable diode mode, improved component construction, hard bypass switching and much, much more. The only overdrive you will ever need!
