Radias Rack Analogue Modelling Synth and Vocoder

Korg Radias Rack Analogue Modelling Synth and Vocoder

KORG RADIAS RACK SYNTHESIZER

Korg's Radias Rack synthsizer and vocoder is based on Korg's proprietary MMT (Multi Modeling Technology) engine. This 24-voice synthesizer offers a variety of synthesis algorithms together with multiple effects, new comb filter and wave shaping features, modulation sequencing, as well as new formant-motion vocoding, and borrows much modelling techniques from the Korg Oasys.

Each of the 256 onboard Programs is comprised of up to four timbres, which can be split, layered or operate independently on separate MIDI channels, allowing the Radias to function as a powerful performance system or multitimbral sound generator for in the studio. The Radium provides two oscillators per timbre to deliver modelled analogue waveforms, format waveforms, noise, ring modulation, sync, and PCM waveforms. 32 drum kits are included, each with 16 different drum or percussion instruments assigned to seperate keys. Each instrument uses the synth parameters, like filter, EG, LFO, and virtual patches for even more variety. Korg includs template data for 128 synth timbres, 128 insert effects, and 128 master effects.

Vocoding, using your voice to modulate a second sound, is easy with the included headset microphone and pushing a single button. The Radias Vocoder operates over 16 bands with individual level and pan controls on each band. Formant Motion function can record up to 7.5 seconds of incoming formant information (spoken words, scat singing, etc.) so that you can re-create vocoder effects even without a microphone present.

The Radius effects section has two inset effects and a 2-band EQ per timbre, as well as master effect for the complete program. 33 effects are provided including delays, chorus, reverbs, compressors, arpeggiator, and talking modulator.
