Multi-Track Soundcards
This category is for soundcards that offer extended features to facilitate multi-track recording. These card will have numerous inputs and outputs with which to connect sound sources or mixing equipment such as a mixing desk. A selection of more advanced soundcards suitable for education use has been selected for this category. Depending on the features yo need and the demands of your curriculum you should the necessary specifications in terms of available audio 'Ins' and 'Out' and the kinds of connections you need. If you want to use 24 tracks for recording and mixing, for instance, then you will need a soundcard that offers 24 channels of audio. Such a soundcard would give you the ability to simulatneously record 24 channels of audio to separate tracks as well as mix across 24 channels if a mixer is used. A typical set up with this number of tracks would be a 24 channel soundcard connected to a 24 channel mixing desk so as to allow for recording and mixing of this kind.
