This is a guitar intended for kids who are serious about playing or as a traveling guitar; it fits in an overhead compartment (while the actual scale length is not so much shorter; 5 cm or so). I bought this for a guy who is small and sits in a wheelchair. He has difficulty getting his arm around any ordinary guitar body, but the scaled down body size and the traditional strat contour makes this the perfect choice. At last a proper guitar! No vibrato tailpiece, which doesn't matter anyway, but otherwise the same hardware as an ordinary Squier - which we all know is a great guitar. Well manufactured throughout with perfect fits and a smooth neck, but what I believe is a too tight nut makes for for some tuning problems, and the A string seems to have some half-dead spots. Fender designers have done a good job downscaling this baby; it has the looks that brings the smile on your face, and it has the real Stratocaster SOUND! This instrument is an amazing value for money, especially with Dolphin's discount of course.
