Well it arrived on time and as I susspected a lovely little guitar she is. First thing I found is that the volume and tone, un-pluged, is not nearly as good as my Farida M2ns parlour. But hey that's why I bought the Takamine EG416s with the pick-up. Once plugged in this is a fine guitar. Easy to play and a very good open-tuned slide guitar.

This guitar has a great write up with lots of vido demo's on youtube. The video's sold me on it and so I ordered one from Dophin. Comes tomorrow so I'll let you know how I find it.

"Got my first real 12 String, played it till my fingers bled" well not quite to the bleeding stage but nearly. What an awesome guitar this is, what a looker, even my wife who is not into music at all, said how beautiful the guitar was ! The sound is very pretty, very sweet down on the high strings changing as you come up through the mids to a very nice rich and full sound on the low strings. Then when you plug it in - Wow! it just gets better and better. Even my wife commented on the sound, something she has never done before without being asked ! "All the songs I play sound even better than before" is what she said. She is my greatest critic and very honest,so if she say's the Takamine sounds good, then take it from me(and her) it's excellent.
The guys at Dolphin have been brilliant, I live in Crete but that was no problem for dolphin music. the price was great even including the delivery it was still way, way cheaper than anywhere in Greece by about 200 euro's.
So shop smart and shop at Dolphin Music !

This is an awesome guitar.
It has a warm and appealing look that it looks great in any room. Certainly not to be stored in a cupboard or in it's case (only when travelling of course!)
The sound is bright crisp and clear and it could probably fill the Albert Hall with it's big mammouth sound with no problem.
The onboard EQ produces excellent output and will give a varied sound for what ever style of playing.
I have had this guitar for about 4 months and I love it.
Only critism is the action maybe a tadge high as you work up the scale but all in all a great instrument to play. You won't need all that backing stuff to sound good with this.

I just purchased this guitar a few days ago, I traded my Ibanez Daytripper in on it and some cash. I love the sound of the guitar, so much volume and crisp. The built in tuner is very easy to use and very handy. I have had 3 Yamahas, and an Ibanez and I like this guitar the best. A must have, if you want a clean sound and not very expensive. The EG440SC is easily played for the action is great, the solid spruce top broadcasts the beautiful sound.

All the product descriptions I could find noted that the bass was not as full as a full size dreadnought, which made me worry that the sound might be a bit thin. This was not the case and I was pleased to find it has a very full sound for a smaller body guitar. Very much a rich, high-quality, balanced sound for such a low-cost guitar. Good machinheads, quality finish and construction, perfect intonation. Solid spruce top gives fuller, mellower tones than the ply-top, so it's worth the extra cash for sure. The solid construction means that when you hit it harder, it gets a lot louder giving great expression. Action was a touch too high out of the box but removing two shims from behind the bridge cured that instantly with no adjustment required to the truss rod. Reasonable pickup/pre-amp too. Would be 10/10 if action had been spot on out of the box. Get one, you'll be more than pleased.
