I have found this to be a very useful and functional peice of kit at an incredible price.

I was a bit apprehensive on buying another Wireless System after being rather disappointed with the Sennheiser model I tried out for a while about 12 months ago which absolutely sucked all the tone out of my bass (along with most of the bottom end!)

After hearing much about the Line 6 G50 Relay System and doing much reading of reviews and watching video presentations I decided to go for it.....and am extremely glad that I did!

I won't go into all the features as these are widely advertised and can be viewed on-line at numerous sources on the internet, I'll just describe my personla views on it.

The G50 is very well built with both the transmitter and receiver being housed in a metal casing (the G30 is a type of plastic material, tough but plastic non-the-less.

Although instructions are provided (separate Instructions for Receiver and Transmitter), these are not essential as set-up is really easy. The whole thing can bet set up and working in under a couple of minutes. It defaults to Channel 1 but you can choose any of the 12 channels provided.

In use I was immediately impressed by the sound, all my tone was there - and all the bottom end! I tried swapping back to a cable a couple of times to do an A/B comparison and there really is very little difference between the G50 and a cable. There is the facility on the Receiver to emulate various lengths of cable but I find the 'off' position to sound best (for me anyway). I understand the Off position in is how your bass (or guitar) should sound naturally and the introduction of a cable merely darkens the sound by cutting some of the frequencies which you always lose when using a cable.

A useful feature is the 'Power Save' mode, (which probably reduces the operating range), and considerably extends the battery life. On the initial insertion of the provided batteries, in Power Save mode it read 10 hours usage left, I have done 3 playing sessions with the wireless unit and it now states 6 hours left and seems to be a fairly accurate level, I have read however that if you use Rechargeable Batteries the gauge is a lot less accurate.

I have read that the supplied cable and Ta4F connector can be troublesome but I have not experienced any problems to date with it, the metal jackplug however could have been a bit better quality and the chrome seems a bit rough to the touch and on a couple of occasions I have had to re-tighten the barrel. There are better quality replacment cables available on such sites as E-Bay, which I may decide to invest in as I would prefer a right-angled plug .

Iinitially I had planned on getting the G30 model but am glad I went for the G50 which to me is a better quality system and I don't think it has the Power Save mode that the G50 has but I could be wrong.

To summarise, so far I am extremely happy with the G50 system and would strongly recommend it. I haven't tested the signal range yet, but expect it to perform exactly as Line 6 state,i.e. 200 metres - not that anyone is going to use one that far away anyway!

The system is totally noiseless as you would expect for a digital system and brilliant in that as such the signal is not compressed so you do not lose any of your precious tone!

I am using an in focus movie projector with a line out to an amp. And to a separate speaker. Would it be OK to use it with your micro spider ?

I have to be careful here. I chose the XD-V30 as I wanted a better sound than my current mics. I also wanted to be sure that I would not get caught out by any frequency change. The XD-V30 also came in a simple No frills, easy to use package. With this wireless mic I got all of these!

I ordered two from Dolphin, and they came next day!

In use my guests almost refused to use any of my existing mics as soon as they heard the sound through these.
Hopefully better sound means more gigs so might be ordering some more.


BUT don't U buy this as I want to be sure that I can use them at gigs and I don't want any-one else having them and filling up the air-waves. LOL. www.goldeniris.co.uk

Got it like 4yrs ago for my guitar and vocal recording and I have to say I haven't been disappointed by it yet, it's a very powerful little box doesn't take up much space light weight and comes with many plug-ins plus you can buy extra ones if needed it has incredibly low latency it's basically perfect one disadvantage is that it need to be connected to a computer/laptop to work which is normal and all but it's the only bad thing i could thing of about this product lol so yeah i recommend its cheap and great product

I have heard some pretty shitty things about line 6 but with the expression pedal and a boss SD1 this amp deffinately stand its ground against many great tube amps. Im using it at the moment when recording demo's and the quality is amazing.

I've never been keen on line 6 amps , but this one is amazing , the clean tone is superb and the distorted tones are even better , with not much feedback and awesome clarity , well worth the £649

I do not yet own one of these, but having seen one in use, I was very impressed. I will be purchasing one soon, if not the model or two above even. The chap who's given it 1/10 has missed the point of doing a review by not seeing it installed and in use. This is pointless as the problem may be with his Macbook and not the new device. It's best to wait to write a review to find out where any faults were, rectifiy them if possible, then rate it accordingly!!

The Line 6 Floor Pod Plus is almost everything you need right at your feet. This multi-effects pedal can give you anything from a simple, clean sound to an epic distortion of high quality. The controls allow you to tweak every sound almost to perfection. I have used this pedal for live performances, recording and during rehearsals aswell as with a set of headphones in my music room. This is a product worthy of purchase, and is suprisingly affordable given it's capability.

However, there was one thing that disppointed me slightly. Although there are many effects and the ability to tweak them, the actual effects (phaser, flanger etc.) are limited to what you can tweak. The only real thing you can seem to do is change how much of the effect is present. This is no problem if you just want to plug in and go but I am a man who likes to create my own sound as original as possible.

Overall this pedal is a must have. It is ideal for those who are looking for the best quality of effects pedal for an affordable price through to those professionals who want to add to their effects vocabulary. The Line 6 Floor Pod Plus fits perfectly into a Gator GK-2110 Micro Keyboard bag for easy transportation and decent protection.

Received the item very soon after making the order - in time for a rehearsal that weekend so that was good!
The sound quality with fresh batteries was a revelation. I never realised how much gets lost through the cable especially in the high frequencies.
Although the unit is very easy and intuitive to use, I've never used a UHF system so that aspect would be impossible for me to compare!
There were no dropouts or unwanted noises and I was able to navigate around the rehearsal space without having to worry about getting all tangled. The maximum range is supposed to be 50m but I didn't get anywhere near that!
The only two downsides are:
1. The batteries only lasted around 4hrs and it was a whole day rehearsal; and
2. The unit has a metal clip to attach to your belt or guitar strap. I don't wear a belt so it went onto my strap. It would not stay put which was annoying! Better would have been the option of a pouch that velcros around the strap. Line 6 need to revisit this.
Don't let that put you off though because this is a very useful bit of kit.
PS. I'm also using it in the studio now because of the purer signal!

I bought this amp just to practice with in the spare bedroom. I won't kidd you that it's the best amp in the world or that it would stand up next to tube driven amp. But it turns out a creditable performance, is amazing fun and excellent value for money. Oh! and by the way - it's loud! very loud!

Brilliant. Full stop. Does what ive spent thousands of pounds on my pc to do for £329.

I bought this because I wanted something small that I could just 'plug-n-play'. I did have a Vox amplug on my list but decided on this because of the masses of tones available, I was not disappointed! This thing rocks. It sounds so much better than most small practice amps I have herd. Plus if you have a descent pair of earphones you can really rockout in the middle of the night and know one will know!! Also, this pod works a treat if you are recording your self using your laptop/pc. I only give it 9 stars because or two things;

1) It has no battery warning light so when your batteries fail it sends a nice load 'crack' into your earphones as it dies.

2) There is no 9V mains charger included. Although generic multi voltage chargers are available all over the place.

Best £70 I have spent in a long time.

Has some great sounds for a very good price. The tuner is useful and works well. The manual is a bit basic and even the reference manual doesn't list the built in presets. Also, the sounds you can download from the Line 6 web site contain loads of duplicates and a lot of rubbish.

However, if you spend the time to experiment with the settings, maybe using one of the presets as a starting point, it gives some great sounds for an amazing price.
