• Also great for live sound engineers & DJ's
• Multiple height adjustment positions
• Thick, comfortable, textured seat cushion
• Adjustable, padded backrest
• Sturdy steel construction
• Folds for easy transport

This is a really robust piece of equipment, and adjustable to suit many optional seating opsitions. The seat and back rest are very comfortable, but I am disappointed at the amount of movement in the seat, which, when on enquiring, was told was normal. I feel for this price tag the seat bracket could be engineered more precisely while still maintaining easy adjustment.

I bought this for my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and was a little apprehensive how well it would take the weight, especially with the speaker being offset in the combo making it a bit uneven. Ended up really impressed with how sturdy this little stand is, I have it set quite straight which makes it less stable due to the higher centre of gravity but I'm not at all worried about it tipping over.
Really compact, lightweight and cheap which is fantastic for such a well built and useful stand. Makes the amp sound much clearer as it's pointing up at me, great for playing live as you can hear your guitar so much easier.
Only thing that would have improved it is a quick release handle on the angle adjustment like my Quiklok keyboard stand has, but as you generally leave it set it's not really a problem.
All in all I'd recommend it as long as your amp/speaker fits within it's weight and size specs, I was considering the more expensive one but there's really no need as this does the job just fine.
20-Space rack equipment stand ergonomically designed to allow easy access to all rack equipment. Good rack for a home studio - easily put together, sturdy, easy access to all your 20U's of gear, front and back.
I have some minor quibbles with it that QuikLok could improve on:
- For some reason, they only supply half the rack bolts that you could need for 20U's - unless all your gear is 2U or bigger, you'll run out.
- The bottom quarter of the unit is useless and just takes up space, particularly in the way it protrudes out into the room because of the angle of the frame. It could have been straightened, and/or used for shelves, drawer space or similar.
- The lack of a bottom shelf, and of any extra frame around the back of the unit which you could fix things to, means a lot of your cabling hangs onto the floor and gets stuck under the castors.
So I'll be modding my RS654 with a bit of woodwork to make a really good 10/10 rack!
I'd still rather have this than a traditional rectangular closed rack - which are a nightmare to cable when you have short units deep inside them.
Quiklok A85 Overhead Mic Stand: A lot to say about a little n large item.
Last on my list of things for a location recording session was a decent mic stand. The Rode NT 2-A condenser mic I hoped to use is a pretty weighty beasty, and I suddenly realised that I couldn't afford to pop it on the end of any ordinary stage stand, however good. I needed a stand that would assert its place in the recording space, somehow commanding respect from the musicians, maybe keeping them in awe of the technician's listening ear. So, I searched on-line.
K&M do a large overhead mic stand, but it costs well over £200. Then I found the quikok A85. But Dolphin Music didn't list one on their site. I thought, I bet if I speak to these guys direct, they might be able to help. It only took Dolphin 4 days to source an A85 and deliver it to me - fab!
Even better, the guy on the phone (Sorry - I've forgotten your name - but you're all very helpful) announced there'd be a price adjustment from his original quote: £2 less! Now, it's a long time since I had a price adjusted down, except by someone who's paying me!
Less natter, more info.
The Quiklok A85 has adjustable spread feet, keeping everything above them reliably stable and safe. The 3-stage raisers kept the mighty mic in its position 2.5 m in mid-air for 4 days' constant recording. The counter-balance on the top boom, together with the toothed adjusting rings (where others, including K&M, would use woven rubber or leather that eventually wears out) meant that the whole thing could have been set even higher, say 3.5 m. The cable clips (4) helped keep the rig tidy - and the overall impression gave the effect I was hoping for: positive positioning in the recording environment.
That's a wholly excellent deal - and a clear reminder that something as little as a mic stand can have a large effect on a session. So, it's great to see that Dolphin now have it as a regular stock item.
And so, no apology for saying such a lot about it.

Great piece of kit. A very sturdy frame which conveniently folds up for easy transportation. The cushion is firm and comfortable when sitting for long periods of time. The back rest and foot rest are simple to adjust and offer a decent range of height settings. I know this as I set mine up for a friend who is 6ft 1 and he had no complaints after the gig.
With quicklock you can be assured of qualty which is reflected in the price. Highly recommended!
Stylish 10-space table top rack stand, perfect for studios or store displays. Computer-welded using 1-1/2" diameter steel tubing. Comes with rack hardware. I've owned one of these for over a year now and despite being one of the most humble pieces of kit I've got it really does what it needs to do.
Easy to put together, tough and able to withstand a lot of weight it's a great solution if your rack kit doesn't need to go anywhere (even then it's small enough that you can lug it around - it just isn't built with maneuverability in mind).

I'd been looking for a decent straight mic stand for a while and when this one arrived I was keen to get it our of the box and give it a bit of a test. It's a fairly standard model, with the height adjustable by a screwing grip. This grip was made from nicely moulded rubber and screwed up nice and tightly for good solid, sturdy positioning of the mic. The only thing that I couldn't get to grips with was the base. It's a nice heavy cast iron base which provides a solid grounding for the stand. The only thing was, if I'd tightened up the twist-grip for the high adjuster too much I found that, while loosening it, I often partially unscrewed the pole from the base, this was very frustrating. For the purpose, this was a good buy at a good price but, if like me, you tend to reposition your mic a lot while you're on stage, you're better off going for the next model up with single hand repositioning, otherwise you'll find yourself constantly screwing the stand back into the base.
Optional laminated shelf attaches easily onto crossbar of all "Z" workstations. Off-center design allows shelf to be mounted either closer or further away from user.
This is a good shelf, and a little more secure than the Z-711 shelf that I was using to hold my mixing desk before.
One point to note, however, is that it is not as long as the entire workstation, and there is not enough room to add a Z-711 shelf next to it.
Apart from the lack of length, this is a nice shelf.
This stand is very robust and is ideal for large pianos and DJ "coffins". It can be folded for easy transportation and is height adjustable between 616 and 813mm for seated or standing players. Features 8 different height adjustment positions May be positioned over permanent seats in theaters and auditoriums Tilt-angle adjustments can be made by raising back…
I wanted a stand that would comfortably and robustly hold a large 88 key workstation, be expandable, but most importantly have plenty of clearance underneath for legs, pedals, rack units, etc. I found what I was looking for in the Quiklok WS-550.
The WS-550 is an innovative design, and will fold down into a flat T shape for transportation. When it's up and in position, it's pretty solid. I wouldn't say that it's the most solid stand out there - there's a very small amount of wobble on a carpeted floor - but it's certainly better than either the single or double braced X stands I had before it.
I've got the WS550 expanded with an accessory bar that allows the addition of a fully adjustable second tier. There are many other expansion options available; and with all the options it can even be used as the basis for a full project studio workstation - speaker stands, computer monitors, etc.
I would recommend this stand particularly for those that a heavy full size keyboard and want a solid stand that folds down small.

+ve: Sturdy design. Best I have seen for deeper body, acoustic guitars.
-ve: Disappointed with quality of finish - paint chipped off in a couple of places. Packaging still intact, so was posted in that condition.

You've got a space and it needs to contain rack units. It's on castors, so it can be mobile, it only weighs a bit more than when it is full with units. In my studio, it's perfect. The bonus is taking it out for live performances. The wheels make it so easy. Never mind hard cases. This does the biz. Now, I use alot of stuff from Dolphin, and always say how great their service and products are. If I don't get the Reason software for this write up, then I'll not bother in future. Tell Richard that. By-the-way. The next purchase will be a digital piano. Maybe another Behringer piece. I might if I have Reason able course to do so. Catch my drift. So, thanks a bunch for the stuff so far. You are all very nice really.

I love this mic stand!!! I have up until recently been using a Valant Atlas stand but didn't want to pay over £100 for a new one! Regular straight stands just don't compare, but this is something else....
A good, heavy, solid base, well built & attractive finish, the handle is easy to hold & simple to operate one handed....I am just hoping it will survive the rigours of touring, but so far I only have praise for it :)
QuikLok's new Z600 audio workstation is a beautiful mix of form and function, combining attractive cherry wood laminate tops and shelves with a computer-welded, black powder-coated 14-gauge steel frame. This is a very beautiful piece of furniture. The Desk comes in 3 boxes which are quite heavy. you might want 2 people to carry these if you are going up stairs so watch your back.
Assembly is very easy, and the manufacturing quality is very high, as I have come to expect from Quiklok. I had the desk built in about 25 minutes, plus the time it took to open the boxes. The packing is sturdy, and not too wasteful. little polystyrene so the waste concious can recycle nearly all the packaging
One of the best features of this desk, not mentioned on any write-up I found for this desk is the hollow frame of the desk, which allows you to feed all your cables through the legs to make everything look tidier. The cherry wood is great to look at and everything feels very sturdy
I recommend this to anyone wanting to add a touch of class to their studio or workstation, and the surface area is very generous

The Quicklok A300 is fairly decent well made stand. It does a good job in supporting my quite heavy condenser mic and could probably handle supportng an even heavier one.
Best Points:
I found the cable clips very useful as they save a lot of time not having to untangle intertwined XLR leads.
Well made and can be confidently collapsed for easy storage and portability.
Looks good; very sleek.
Bad points:
My only quibble about the Quicklok is that it would be better if the legs on the tripod base were a bit longer for some extra support.
All that said though I have worked with much better mic stands but I've also worked with much worse and for the price think the Quicklok represents good value for money.

An essental piece of kit! Easy to construct - it took me 2 minutes and I'm not a DIY expert :-)
This quiklock is well designed providing easy access to your gear. It's also very stable and the wheels become pretty useful when you need to make an patching changes.
10/10 - simple but perfect.
