For stage and studio, whatever style you play, and whether you're a producer, performer, composer - it's the most versatile member of the Roland HandSonic family yet.
Roland's HandSonic HPD-20 is equally at home used live on stage or in the studio alongside your DAW. Whether you're an electronic dance music performer or a traditional composer looking to add some triggered sounds to your work, the expressive power of the Hand Sonic HPD20 is second to none.
13 velocity-sensitive pads mean you can use real acoustic percussion techniques (eg. press a pad to dampen it or adjust its pitch) rather than navigating menus.
Features 850 dynamic sounds, with the ability to import your own samples. Also use the Hand Sonic HPD20 for playing virtual instruments, recording MIDI and audio performances in DAW software, or even expand it with additional controllers to build an incredibly compact electronic percussion set.
With the same SuperNATURAL sound engine seen in Roland's top-of-the-range keyboards, the HPD20 includes tones and sounds from world music, electronic music, melodic instruments and more. You can import up to 500 of your own sounds in WAV format on USB stick, or edit existing sounds to get them just right using three independent multi-effects engines, ambience, and EQ.
Inputs and ports on the rear of the device (pictured above) allow the connection of a a Roland pad and hi-hat controller (sold separately), while a USB port allows for audio/MIDI communication with popular music software, including DAWs and standalone virtual instruments. You can also easily export your performance and ideas capturedwith the Quick Rec function as WAV audio files to USB flash memory.
