The Xenyx 1002 has 10 inputs and a FX Send control for each channel. Additionally, assignable CD/tape inputs have been incorporated for routing flexibility.

Behringer XENYX 1002

I bought this mixer for the sole purpose of recording audio to my personal computer. As with most Behringer products, it is fantastic value for the price.

I have connected the mixer to my PC\'s Audigy 2 sound card\'s \"Line In\" via a stereo phono cable, available from Dolphin for about £3.

Using a Shure SM58 Beta to capture vocals and acoustic guitar, I was absolutely blown away by the sound quality. I was expecting some electrical noise to be picked up by the highly sensitive Audigy 2, but even with the +48v Phantom power running and volume set to 95%; there is absolutely zero audible interference. In fact, the audio delivery is smooth, rich and undistorted across the whole range.

I have used much more expensive 10 and 14 channel Phonic powered mixers for years, but they cannot hold a candle to this Behringer. Add the availability of 10 inputs, plenty of outputs, including headphones, control room and stereo main outs and you have a perfect product for stage, studio or home audio capture. As a live musician and studio recorder, I cannot recommend this mixer enough. Also, I took delivery of this item within 38 hours of order! Thanks and well done Dolphin.
