Great sound but loses a little bass

These beauties were a gift for xmas and they reproduce sound wonderfully but I was a little disappointed with the bass response from them. Comfort is a little tight for my liking, and the earpads are a tad small for my ears (they are regulation ears I may add).

I have tried tweaking the eq settings on various players (iPod, iTunes, windows, hi-fi etc) and only results in a little low end distortion, sadly.

Otherwise, a nice introductory pair for the casual listener or a DJ requiring lots of high end frequencies in a club setting.
