If you love bass you will love these phones! The sound isolation is excellent, i use mine with my ipod for the commute to work and they cancel out all those mobile phone djs! The bass although deep does not dominate the sound, as they work great with all types of music even classical. To sum up, buy with confidence. I would have given them a 10 if it were not for the leatherette earpads which warm your ears up a bit, great in winter though!

These headphones are simply amazing. I bought these last weekend from headphone.com, and I must say, they are simply incredible. If you are contemplating on whether to buy these or some other brand, I would read this entire review. First off, let's start with the sound quality. These headphones are loud, but that's a good thing for me since I like my music loud. Even though they can be loud, that doesn't mean that the quality is in any way decreased. You can always turn the volume down, you know. The quality is excellent. Excellent. I plugged these into my laptop five minutes after receiving them in the mail, and the quality was amazing. On one song, Jack and Diane by John Mellencamp, the bass was so resonate that I could actually hear it fade off for the first time ever. So if you are questioning sound quality, these pair of headphones get a 10/10. Next, there's the style factor. These headphones, as you can probably see, look beautiful. They really are. I prefer these type of headphones over the "over-the-ear" kind because these are more stylish and look really cool. Not only that, but the plush of the earcups is extremely comfortable. However, the reason I rated these headphones as a 9/10 is the following: they clamp quite hard on your head. It isn't so bad after a while, but you definitely feel pressure when you put them on. However, this in a way helps. It keeps them tight on your ears, ensuring maximum sound effectiveness straight to your ears. It also keeps them from falling off. I decided that the excellent quality of sound and sound volume makes up for the slight uncomfortability of pressure. Also, if you are wondering if these are cheap, creaky, easily broken headphones, you are dead wrong. These are the best pair of headphones that I have ever purchased. They are extremely durable, and you can feel the thick plastic contacts as it swivels on its axis. These will definitely last a decade, if well taken care of. If you are wondering about portability, these are the phones that will make you stress-free. They easily fold up to make them fit perfectly into the included pouch for carrying. Which, if I might add, is soft leather. And, if you happen to be wondering, "Is AKG a reputable and quality brand for headphones?" The answer is 100% yes. My dad has a pair of AKG Studio Monitor headphones from college, which was well over 15 years ago. Not only do his headphones still work, but they are in excellent condition. When I asked him whether to go with a more expensive Sony brand of headphones or these slightly cheaper AKG's, he answered AKG without hesitating. These are the absolute best headphones for your money. Lastly, if you are wondering if they have a mini-jack or the large full-jack, these come with both. The large jack is included and can be easily screwed-on if you have a stereo system that uses the larger jack. In conclusion, these headphones are worth every pound. They exceed in leaps and bounds in every criteria that one could question them on. I have yet to find a better pair of headphones, and when I do, these will be well missed.
