mic clips

Sorry, these just don\'t get it. Using then on my conga rims and though the rim attachment was okay, the sliding height rails snap like crackers when any force is placed on them. Poor design. I\'ve had two sets of these break on me. Seems like a good way for Samson to continue raking in cash on a poor product design. Wouldn\'t mind paying slightly more for something that wouldn\'t break during normal frazzle of gig setup and break dowm

In a live environment where kits change day by day these fit pretty much every kit (I had one kit where the rims on all of the toms were so low that I broke one clip forcing it on.

Really quick set up time - especially if you don\'t use the spring to tighten - but the adjustable middle is quite fragile and will eventually break, no big deal as you can still use without.

I had metal clips that took longer to set up and broke after less uses, so durability is good, and you can tell when parts are on their way out (once all moveable parts are wrapped up in gaffer tape it\'s time to replace) and you can keep any salvageable parts for next time they go wrong.

Clips

Not bad for those kits with funny rims that won't take a normal mic clip. These clamp top to bottom on the rim edge. The setup is quite long really so good for mounting 57/58 style mics that need a little more clearance from the skin.

I use these for awkward drums and bottom snare skin mics. I have bought better and cheaper drum mic clips than these but it is certainly worth getting a set for those drummers that tip up to the studio with some obscure kit that you can't quite seem to clip onto.

If you ain't a drummer you may not understand how distracting a forest of mic stands can be.
