Great feel and low latency. Up and running within minutes. Joystick robust and \"feels\" right. Passing controls to Sonar Producer a breeze. Buy one
Nice one
I bought this in preference to the cheaper alternatives because it seemed to have a slightly classier feel and the info about the keys in the item description seemed to promise good solid construction. I'm glad I bought it, though I find the keys louder than expected, maybe my expectations were set too high by the description. That's a minor gripe, it's something I only notice when playing lower, quieter notes, when the sound of the key's movement takes over the sound of the note. That said, the overall construction and feel IS solid and well-made, so I'm sure the problem is not excessive in comparison with cheaper models. In fact, I imagine this is relatively good, but I can't compare as I haven't used any other keyboard. I only have a real piano to compare with, and the noise of the keys is about the same. It's probably the case that my standards and expectations from equipment are high, I like to know I got my money's worth.
The velocity curves this keyboard offers are excellent, and very helpful to me. I tend to play quite light, but changing the curve got me to miss fewer of the forte notes.
I'd also make a more general observation, in the hope that a keyboard manufacturer reads this. I appreciate that modulation and pitch shifting are useful in synthesizer music, but in many other types of playing they are of little use, at least to me. I would really appreciate if a keyboard like this allowed an easy mapping of sustain and expression control to the modulation/pitch lever. This is particularly true of a keyboard such as this one, targeted at people like me who want a simple, uncluttered solution. I'm not really looking forward to getting pedals and messing about with the wires and what not. Using the lever would be adequate.
All in all, an excellent unit and like the previous reviewer, I highly recommend it.
I also highly recommend Dolphin Music as a retailer. The site is first rate and so is the service. 10 out of 10 for that.

If, like me, you're a guitarist that needs to (reluctantly) include a simple keyboard part in your demo recordings, this is the device.
Reason identified the device with no problem and I was up and running in around 10 minutes - which is saying something for a midi-moron - thanks to the USB interface. The USB power is a welcome lessening of the number of cables necessarily trailing across my desk too.
Excellent value for money and with a high quality feel I can highly recommend this keyboard.
