FBQ 2496
I use this unit in line with my active stage monitors, it does exactly what it says on the tin!
I tend not to make too many adjustmens so most of the time it\'s running in auto.I would like to see more of a display when it comes to what filters are triggering etc in the auto setting, but I guess as long as it\'s doing the job you require it to do, this isn\'t strictly necessary.
Overall,good value for money!

This box just does exactly what it says on the lid. I now use three of these units for voice channels in a church, and without any filtering the mics are close to unuseable because of the buildings reverberation. How satisfying it is to edge the gain up and hear the feedback appear and then dissapear as it is notched out by the FBQ2496. Magic - or it would be if we believed in such things!
Only giving 9 out of 10 because in an ideal world it would have a gain control on the input side.
Highly recommended.
Feedback Destroyer
I think this uses the black arts to achieve what it does! Imagine the scene; a newly refurbished pub, smallish room, no carpets and it echoes. Now imagine a blues/jug band and a 1000w amp. Imagine the washboard player with a mic in front of the washboard. Imagine him moving (with mic) in front of the PA speaker. Imagine the howl of feedback…..well, there wasn’t any. There was a brief blip and then nothing. The PA was running at about 2/3rds max at the end of the evening with no howls or apparent deterioration in sound. If we can manage to set up this badly and the feedback destroyer handle it this well, then I think it’s great.
I won’t give it 10/10 as the build quality isn’t super fantastic, but it will last a long time if looked after. And one of the jack outputs (our amp is unbalanced) doesn’t click into place as well as I would like, but a bit of tape (always in the gig bag) ensures it will stay in place. And when we get a new amp with balanced inputs, we’ll use the XLR outputs so that’ll be OK
I haven’t used all the facilities, I just let it get on with it and pick out and destroy feedback as t finds it.
I’d recommend this to anyone.
