No turning the tonearm weight around anymore!!
I used to use two Stanton 500 II\'s and I thought they were good. Well when I decided I needed a new pair of cartriges I settled on these. Mainly because i\'m a scratch DJ and heard that these are not only the best but used by DJ Qbert himself. I had heard that these have problems in the Midrange section but let me say thay sound as good as listening to a CD! they have great Bass response so i don\'t need to max out the Low freq on my mixer anymore. And after a few days of scratching or even general use (time for the needles to groove in) they stick to the record like super glue! It takes some time to get them properly configured to your tables as you have to adjust the weight and different angles but a small price for such amazing carts at an amazing price!! :D
The legendary M44-7
These are quite simply the best scratch cartidges I have ever come across (I haven't used every model on the market but I've had a few). The vast majority of serious turntablists I know use these for preference (alongside a Rane TTM56 mixer).
They have a pure history in the scratch DJ game - in fact if I remember rightly you can see them in the close-up of Jam-Master Jay cutting in an old Run DMC video, Walk This Way maybe?
Whatever, they were re-released around the time I got into scratching and they just make for minimum skipping and a much phatter sound. Accept no substitute.
