Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Nirvana’s breakthrough album, Nevermind, the Gibson Krist Novoselic bass exudes power, performance and versatility. Novoselic is knows for his ability to hold down a strong bottom end that glues songs together and the bassist helped to establish the standard for alternative rock bass playing.
The Krist Novoselic Signature RD Bass is finished in ebony black nitrocellulose lacquer which enhances the overall tone and adds a thundering resonance.
Shaped similarly to the RD guitars and basses produced by Gibson in the 70s, this bass features a rounded, offset body style, resembling the Gibson Firebird guitar and Thunderbird bass.
For this bass, Gibson uses a pair of Seymour Duncan™ Bass Lines STK-J2n and STK-J2b "Hot Stack" pickups. “Designed to offer the precision and harmonic richness of single-coil pickups, with the noise-canceling properties of humbuckers” making this bass even more versatile.
