This Les Paul model is available in a number of limited edition custom finishes in nitrocellulose lacquer. The Les Paul Studio Swirl features Gibson 490R/498T humbucking pickups and the legendary Gibson Tune-O-Matic bridge.
The Les Paul Studio Swirl models are available in four incredible transparent nitro lacquer finishes, over AA figured western maple tops. The Studio Swirl guitars include high-output ceramic pickups, binding and the traditional Les Paul trapezoid inlays.
The Les Paul Studio Swirl guitars produce an incredible tone; made possible by Gibson’s use of the hard, stable and sonically “live” baked maple fingerboard. This wood baking process (torrefaction) gives the fingerboard the much-desired snappy response of ebony whilst retaining a warm, medium brown appearance that many players appreciate similar to the Brazilian pau ferro. The materials used in the manufacture of the Studio Swirl models were specially selected to enhance and improve the guitars overall tone and sound quality.
The Studio Swirl guitars feature a nitro lacquer finish which is extremely luxurious and toneful and will prove its own importance as the guitar ages. Nothing but Gibson excellence.
