Mr
I first saw this bass in a store in Birmingham, and as an owner of several F***** basses, thought this was amazing for the price. A proper looking MM copy, but 1500 Quid less. Mine arrived from Dolphin, well packed, and the bass was straight from the factory. I very rarely get excited about a new bass, but this has a "wow" factor, and it looks far more expensive!!First impressions were this is a well built instrument, everything fitted well, and the quality of finish is super, really good. I love the neck, nice finishing, and there are no sharp edges. all nicely rolled off. It aint never gonna be a MM, but it can pack a chunky punch with that humbucker!! I had to adjust the bridge to stop some fret buzz on the C on the A string, which took all of a minute!! Two downsides. There is a rough patch in the lacquer on the back of the neck near the 12th fret, and the tone control has been fitted a bit wobbly, though I can easily re site it. All in all a cracking bass for me to play in rehearsals, but would be quite happy to use on stage. I m not yet sure of reliablity, but so far so good. This bass is so much better than any beginners bass, Much better than S*****s AFfinity effort. It just looks classy in gloss black. Highly recommended from a semi pro bassist of 30 years!!!
