Shure PSM200
I didn\\\'t actually buy this from Dolphin, but found another review and thought I\\\'d offer some help to anyone thinking of going in-ear. I play the drums, although I don\\\'t really need to move around much, they are good when you stand up after the gig as you don\\\'t pull your headphones out
The things I like about the Shure PSM200: the ability to mix in your own vocal in with the main mix.
It\\\'s a bit light feeling but that\\\'s good especially as the belt pack is hardly noticeable when it\\\'s on.
It also can work without the transmitter as a simple mixer, although you\\\'re not wireless anymore!!
The sound is good and the reception is fine for most situations.
A couple of cons: This thing eats batteries, you will need to change them at about 2hrs or you\\\'ll find they\\\'ll run out without warning. This is kind of annoying as my band mates have the Sennheiser Ew300 and have no probs doing two 3hrs gigs (but they can\\\'t do their own basic mix!
The headphones are a bit rubbish, they might come with lot\\\'s of different fittings, but for me just wouldn\\\'t fit........ I\\\'ve ended up getting custom ones which are almost awesome.

PSM200
Bought this from dolphin after lots of searching the net for it cheaper. By quite a significant amount they couldn't be beaten on price. It arrived next day too. which we like a lot. Its easy to use and comes with a 9V battery for the personal receiver unit. Sound quality is very good with minimal signal interruption over reasonable live-like distances. even goes through thin walls. Just plugged my vocal mix into one input, the band mix in the other and adjusted the volume to suit. The kit comes with a handy little hard case for the high-end shure earpieces as well as a vast array of fittings to suit any earhole. ideally you'd get a personal earpiece fitted though for better sound isolation and comfort. My one gripe would be that the transmixer unit is a little bit toy-like and unreasurringly light-weight. Definately wouldnt trust vocals going directly into that before the mixing desk in a gig. if it breaks or gets pulled over by the weight of the cables plugged into it you'd lose the vocals completely. imagine that. All in all though very good value. Oh, I've also found it very useful in the studio whilst recording vocals. Having no heavy cans round my head allows me to sing with more expression and also frees me from long tangly wires. i hate wires.
