Yamaha Stagepas 300
I have had my Stagepas 300 for 12 months. And I dont know how I did without it. I am the keyboard guy in a 10 piece soul, disco and motown band and I use it for my stage monitoring. Previous I had a Peavey KBA150. I can now play in stereo which makes my sound brilliant, both on stage and front of house through the main PA. I use a Yamaha S80 as my main and a Roland G7 and my top keyboard. I was worried about the small size speakers before I bought it but I get a lovely rich sound including plenty of bass. I get plenty of on-stage volume despite being in a 10 piece! I use the speakers in wedge format, sitting on some makeshift stands to give it some physical lift and keep the speakers close in to me. www.SoulDevotion.net

I play the Tyros keyboard and do a bit of singing, up until now all for fun. My first proper gig with the new sound kit took place last week at the local golf club and my singing coach and her stage engineer took in the performance. Both gave the Stagepas 300 rave reviews in terms of sound quality and ease of use. I am delighted to report that the audience also loved it and further bookings immediately followed the show. I couldn't have asked for more.

light, powerful, excellent reverb fullfills most of my needs most of the times but has strugled a wee bit in larger venues ,but i now know where in my circuit of gigs i can use it and where i need to use the larger old heavy equipment that i did not sell, remorse no, only wish i had bought to stagepass500

I am delighted with this system and Dolphin - and I am not that easily delighted! I did not know anything about how powerful a watt was and am not technical at all, so was a little wary about spending a fair amount of money (along with a microphone, stand and lead). I sent an email to Dolphin asking for their advice on whether they thought it was suitable for my requirements and also telephoned them and they were knowledgeable and helpful.
I sing Gershwin/Berlin songs etc. with a pianist (without any amplification) at care homes and hope to branch out into private functions and hotels. Everything arrived on Thursday, I set it up on Saturday evening and was performing with it on Sunday afternoon. I cannot stress enough how easy it was to set up first time, from out of the box. After reading the instructions (10 minutes), it took approximately 3-4 minutes to set up!!
The sound was of an excellent quality and more than powerful enough (in combination with the Shure SM58 microphone which I also purchased).
I highly recommend this, especially to anyone that hasn\'t a clue about these type of things. You won\'t need to worry about how to \'put it together\' and can therefore leave all the worrying to the performance on the day!
Stagepas 300
The Stagepas 300 is an excellent, portable PA system. the 1" compression driver and 8" subs, really punch above their weight. A very durable and robust solution to public speaking, conferences and gigging small venues. Clear sound and very easy to get the right sound. You will find the kit lightweight, easy to assemble and the additional carry case is certainly worth the extra £75.
For those who are absolute beginners
Are you like me? Do you seriously have no idea what you're doing? I didn't...I needed a PA system but barely knew what a PA system was. After much soul searching and agonising over how much systems and their components cost - I bought one of these. I plugged in my V Drums system and was so happy with what came out - for someone who didn't know what they were doing this system was a damn good choice.
I think if you're looking for something that can wow more than about 200 people then you need to go for something a bit higher end - but for the money this system is great to start with.
