Boss RC-30 Loop Station Pedal

The Boss RC-30 is a twin pedal loop station with two synchronized stereo tracks and built-in looping effects. Each track can be individually controlled by its own dedicated onboard fader and track select buttons. You can plug a microphone or any instrument directly into the RC-30 as the unit has a built in XLR input operating at the usual 48v phantom power so the user can sing, rap and beat box at their leasure to create some amazing vocal loops.

It also has a stereo minature jack for plugging in an MP3 player with your favourite backing tracks so you can jam along or simply create loops out of them. The RC30 also boasts 1/4 inch L/R instrument inputs to increase its already growing versatility. And finally to cap it all off the unit can accomodate an extra footswitch (Boss FS-5U, Boss FS-6) to extend its already massive capabilities. 

Why not record for up to three hours direct to the internal memory? The RC30 Looping Station can be connected via USB 2.0 to your computer and let you save your loops for those all important future performances. The USB can also be used to import and export WAV files that you have created. This is an incredibly useful recording tool when it comes to studio work.

I recently bought a Roland RC-30 Loop station after one of the guys from Boss came to do a demonstration on this model along with the RC-3 and RC300. After much debate I decided the RC-30 had more than enough functionality for my purpose, as in the time and length of each loop I could create using the pedal. I haven't spent as much time as I would have liked too using the pedal but everytime I have, I have created some good ideas from just improvising and looping with ease. Highly recommended Simon
