GuitarPort RiffTracker includes the award-winning GuitarPort hardware. This guitar-focused USB recording interface is powered by your laptop or desktop computer, and has all the connections needed to track guitar and enjoy the results with your speakers or headphones. It also gives you a complete amp, stompbox and effects rig!

The GuitarPort hardware and software works seamlessly with the included recording software. You don’t even have to think about our unique ultra-low latency drivers, 32-bit processing, ASIO support, and other technical mumbo-jumbo working away behind the scenes. GuitarPort RiffTracker takes care of all that for you while you track those killer riffs.

Thanks to the GuitarPort hardware/software included with GuitarPort RiffTracker, you'll have a simple, pro-quality setup that gives great feel, dynamics and tone. This virtual guitar amp, stompbox and effects rig is ready to rock with tone directly from the world-standard PODxt. You get 16 Classic and Modern Amp Models and more than 20 quality effects including digital and tape delays, choruses, tremolos, flanger, phaser, reverb, and more. And you'll have our free online library of thousands of tones matched to the greatest guitarists, songs, bands and gear of all time.

The GuitarPort installer includes the GuitarPort application, the PODxt ASIO driver and the PODxt Windows drivers (WDM, Direct Sound, MME, MIDI). It also includes Line 6 Monkey, the intelligent updater utility that will get your PODxt firmware up to date for use with GuitarPort 2.5. GuitarPort requires the latest versions of Windows Media Player, Direct X and Internet Explorer. The GuitarPort 2.5 installer will let you know if you need up to date versions of any of these on your computer, and tell you how to get them.

If you want to play guitar instead of playing engineer, GuitarPort RiffTracker, with its included RiffWorks recording software, is the answer. We keep it simple, so you stay inspired.

GUITAR-OPTIMIZED RECORDING
The unique Riff Recorder lets you set tempo and even start recording from your guitar so you never have to put it down. It will even automatically create tracks as you play — so you can record multiple takes or layer parts without a pause.

MIX EFFECTS
The 7 mix effects per track are great for sweetening up the sound of most anything you might record with the GuitarPort hardware, even bass or a keyboard. And just like the virtual guitar rig, the included mixing effects are easy to operate. So you get great studio quality sounds without the typical computer studio complication.

COLLECT AND COMBINE YOUR IDEAS
The Riff List holds the ideas you’ve recorded. Double-click a Riff in the list to open it for more recording, or to fine-tune your mix. Drag Riffs to the Song bar to string them together. Then MIX a file to disk, and burn it with your CD software!

Spin the InstantDrummer™ INTENSITY knob to set the mood from mellow to aggressive. Dial in some VARIATION to get a constantly evolving beat. No tedious editing or disappointing sounds, just a great drummer, ready to jam.

Excellent for the money and loads of fun, takes a little while to sort out but a must buy for home electric playing. Forget a small practice amp, this and a pair of headphones means you can sound great, record and not drive family and neighbors nuts.

line 6 riff tracker and guitar port is an incredible buy. i was looking for another product that i had bought and was disappointed with. i returned the product and picked up the line 6 guitar port and riff tracker by sonomawire works.
i was totally amazed at what i had just bought. the guitar port has many amp simulations and effects and preset tones that one can plug into. microphone presets, bass guitar, guitar.
now with the guitar plugged into the guitar port, you will record into rifftracker which is incredible. you can set your drums to desired bpm and add effects, change the amount of bars to a riff and jam away. the riff tracker will record the guitar or bass or voice while the drums play. it will repeat the amount of bars and record over them in layers so you can pick the your best recording. then you can add effects from the great effects built in.
this way you can build a song very easily.
what is also great with the sonomawireworks program is that you can change drummers to a riff even after everything is recorded.
i had no idea what was available for home recording, i was looking for a loop pedal just to dink around with and i found this instead for less money.
i have upgraded to riffworks standard which will work with the stealth plug or jamlab (which i have) so i can get the sounds and tones from my own amps and pedals. i have used gear box, guitarport, and my own amps and pedals in the same song.
if anyone asked me what they should buy to play with, it would be this, hands down.
all you need is a guitar, this combo and a computer. if you have a mac it can be portable.
i\'m tellin ya, i\'ve had this for 1 year and i am still finding out about this program even though i was confident in about a day using it.
the tones and quality of drums and effects are top notch.
this is great for beginners and not a bad scatch pad for pro\'s either.

the support from them is incredible, where else can you talk to the people who made the product if you need them!
