exellent for price
these little monitors are exellent, ive just mixed a couple of pop tracks on them and the mixes sound great ,bass isn\'t bad but gets a bit boxy at high levels, mids and highs are quite clear though lack the transparancy of more expensive monitors, these don\'t sound a million miles away from the yamaha ns10s i used to own.
even though i\'m about to buy a more exensive pair of monitors i will keep these to reference with.
A very good buy! :)
Firstly, i'll explain my setup: Small home recording and editing studio, in my room (kinda small), but it does me fine. A while ago, I inherited a Samson Servo 260 Studio Power Amp, and I had it connected to some ex hi-fi speakers, which served me well for about a year, and I came into some money, so I thought i'd take the chance to update my speakers.
So I choose the Monitor 1C's from Behringer, mainly because I have used Behringer products before and have never had any trouble at all. Behringer gear is always very robust and reliable, exactly like the Montior 1C's even at this amazing price! So connected it all up, and couldnt be more pleased with the sound quality, fantastic tones, from the upper and lower frequencies, and they maintain this very, very well at maximum gain. Right now I have KT Tunstall playing away at quite a quiet volume, and quality the acoustic guitar sounds like its being played live! Never before have I experienced such great quality, in all volume ranges, and their compact size fits well in my room :) There was only one very slight niggle with them... On Behringer's description it says they come with some sort of speaker mounts, celing or wall... this isnt quite true, its just a normal hole in the back for hanging them on the wall, which was a bit of dissapointment, but hey, the quality, and robustness, and the overall greatness of these will win ANYONE over that niggle! Hope this helps, mike :)
