Behringer X V-AMP
I am over the moon with this bit of kit; I am a total beginner moving from an acoustic guitar.
It breathes life into my electric guitar and it started sounding like a \"proper\" guitar, making my practice sessions enjoyable and sounding great even given my inexperience.
Highly recommended for the beginner - like me!
Live time
I played with V-amp for 1year and 8 months. Yes I did, because is not working any more. I didn\\\'t play outside my apartment, and there is no very huge humidity. Anyway inside I found rust.
Even this product is really powerfully and very cheap, but not even two years for lifetime is definitely not enough.
One year ago, even one week ago I would give for it 10/10. But today I can give it only 4/10.
Behringer X V-Amp
I love this pedal so much, I have sold all my other pedals and amp sims. THIS DOES THE LOT!!!
How do Behringer do this with such good build quality and low prices astounds me.
I implore anyone who\'s thinking of scaling down their stage gear to check this unit out a.s.a.p, you wont regret it!

I think this is a very good effects pedal with plenty of different sounds to use with your guitar so it sounds just like the ones that you hear in rock songs but i think that it could be a bit more straight forward with setting the sounds but otherwise it is a all round good product
Behringer X V-AMP review
I have been using the Behringer X V-Amp for over four months now and I can honestly say it’s a fab bit of kit.
I am a complete beginner on the guitar and at first I thought this was overkill for my need to practice using headphones. Now I couldn't be without it.
So why all the excitement!
Well first off, yes I can practice using the X V-Amp using headphones and without a bulky amp to lug around.
Second it adds EXCITING sounds to my practice sessions. My simplified beginner’s tabs sound much more when heard though a simulated amp and effects which make it similar to the real thing.
When played through a cheap practice amp it sounds even better.
"Don't waste valuable practice time twiddling knobs” I hear you cry, well I don’t I just press the foot switches to step through (up to 100) presets until I get to a sound I like.
Preset 1 is my favourite for practicing as it emulates a miked acoustic guitar with some delayed echo which makes it sound like you’re in a concert hall “beginners dream on”.
Construction is solid and good build quality, the plastic peddles may not stand up to heavy gig use “call me in ten years time”.
Scrolling through the presets can be slow, but wait; you can save presets to any slot so you can move them around to get consecutive positions. And a BIG plus for me is you can restore any individual preset OR all the presets in one and go back to the factory default. So maybe I can have some play after the ‘cough’ hard practice.
Display is limited but with a combination of status leds it can be mastered in a short time.
The 2nd function on the rotary FX and AMPS selector is a bit of a pain – hold TAP button then rotate selector. If the required AMP or FX is the 2nd function on the current selector position then you have to hold the TAP button then rotate the selector off then back on to get to it. Other functions require tow buttons to access an element i.e. ‘Bass EQ’, ‘Presence’ and ‘Pedal Function’.
The pedal can be used to control volume or effect as assigned.
The built in tuner is not quite as good as a dial indicator but is perfect for a quick retune before that ‘all important practice’.
Read the spec, buy it, have fun.
I’m off for a practice (play).
My rating 8 out of 10
