Connectors are too long
After buy loads of new equipment I suddently realised I'd forgotten that I would need loads of new cables, sadly by this time I was too broke to afford some top quality ones so I just thought I'd go as cheap as possible and get everything set up. These best cables match my requirement so I ordered a load.
They turned up and everything looked fine, sadly when I tried plugging one into my Micron it wouldn't go all the way in the socket, I pushed and forced and not matter how much I tried it wouldn't make that final click. On closer inspection I realised infact it had gone all the way in and the fault was actually that the jacks were about 2mm too long (luckily I didn't use enough force to damage the plugs on my Micron).
Now really you wouldn't think the jacks being too long would turn out to be much of a problem but so far sady they have been. Certain pieces of equipment I own will actually accept the jacks the whole way in and you end up with a bad connection. On my emu proteus they are completely unuseable because there is no proper click to hold them in the correct place.
I always thought that however much you spent on a cable it would at least be functional, these in a few cases are not functional at all and in others half useable...I'm not rating them at 0 because in some cases the work fine. Also maybe I just got some from a bad batch, if this is the case then there are no other issues with these cables.
Sorry for the long and bad review, I just guess you get what you pay for.
