Researching Mics has been an on going project here at the Conservatory of Recording Arts. We are putting together a MIC book that outlines the techincal specifications of about 40 studio standard mics.

The price and versatility of the SE2A is amazing considering it offers 3 capsules delivering cardiod, omni and hypercardiod polar patterns. The range of human hearing being 20Hz-20KHz isn't a problem for the SE2A because it also deliveres a frequency range of 30 Hz- 20 KHZ.

A strong level SPL ( 137dB ) makes the SE2A a very strong tool in the studio and the low self noise (17 db-A) provides accurate representation with the least amount of noise.

The SE2A has strenth in drum overheads, strings and acoustic guitars.

This is a very afforadable multi-pattern condenser.
