MIXTRACK is a powerhouse controller in a compact chassis for performing and producing with DJ software. The familiar layout works just like two decks and a mixer so whether you're a seasoned professional or building your DJ skills, MIXTRACK is easy to learn and handles advanced techniques. It's portable so you can grab MIXTRACK and your laptop and go to wherever the gig is.

FAMILIAR LAYOUT

MIXTRACK has two deck controller sections with large touch-activated jog wheels and transports controls. Whether you're used to a CD player, turntables, or any other traditional DJ hardware, you'll find getting around easy. The center of MIXTRACK’s surface is its mixer section with a smooth crossfader, line faders, deck EQs, and more advanced controls for looping and effects.

TRAKTOR ENABLED, MIDI COMPLIANT

MIXTRACK comes with Native Instruments Traktor LE software, which is based on Traktor Pro. This popular, easy-to-learn software is made for mixing, remixing, and producing music. It gives you four optional layouts, including cover art. You will enjoy new Beatgrid Editing and saving with locked sync for precise performance. Also included is manual looping and selectable loop length for flexible loop integration. Additionally, Traktor LE gives you several effects per deck including filter, delay, reverb and flanger. MIXTRACK comes factory mapped for use not only with Traktor LE but also Traktor Pro and Duo, so if you’re already a Traktor power user, you’ll be ready to go right out of the box. Full MIDI compliance means MIXTRACK will also work with virtually any MIDI-mappable music software.

EASY USB CONNECTION

MIXTRACK connects to your Mac or PC as a class-compliant USB device so it requires no software drivers to work, and USB powers it so you won't need an external supply.

Great little piece of kit!

I bought the Numark Mixtrack last week, and I must say how utterly impressed I am with this unit.

For the price, you really do get a lot of great features and functionality that will keep most beginner/intermediate DJ\'s happy.

It\'s a very well built and sturdy unit. The touch-sensitive jog plates are solid and feel very substantial. The speed of the track is controlled by using the side of the jog plate, while scratching is done on the top.

One of the things I love about the mixtrack is how fine the pitch adjustment is when using the jog wheels. Previously, on my Numark Total Control, the littlest touch on the jog wheel would have a quite considerable \"jog\". The Mixtrack seems to have gotten it perfect here. You still have the control you need, but it feels a lot more intuiative.

The unit lights up for use in low-light environments, which is of course, essential. The buttons, faders and knobs are well spaced and positioned and have some \"resistance\".

One thing I\'ve disliked with dj controllers in the past is how \"free-moving\" the faders and dials are. Not here. The faders have just the right amount of resistance, to give you the peace of mind that you\'re not going to accidentally knock the volume of your track into oblivion in the middle of a mix!

I would highly recommend this unit if you are a budding DJ and want an inexpensive way to get started. Cheaper to buy MP3\'s than vinyl too!

Finally, the staff at dolphin were extremely helpful and even allowed (with my permission), for my friend to pick it up from their warehouse.

So, to summarise..

1. The Numark Mixtrack is a really sturdy, well rounded beginner/intermediate DJ controller. I\'d highly recommend it!

2. The Dolphin staff are great, and I\'d like to thank them for the simple and fast transaction!
