Marshall MG50FX combo
I bought this from the Huddersfield store.
having sufferd frustration at the hands of Line 6 and Vox ADVT amps, I wanted something more practical to use live - no \'amp models\', guitar sound emulations, just the basic controls with a couple of switchable channels.
This amp is so easy to operate compared to the ones mentioned. There are actually 4 switchable channels, simply preset by turning 3 tone and 2 volume knobs and then pressing \'store\', and accessed by a 2 button footswitch. I had it ready to gig 5 minutes out of the box.
There are onboard effects (I tend to use external boxes)but they sound ok, to be honest.
The sound? It sounds like a Marshall, if you don\'t like that, buy something else.
If, like me, you got fed up of emulating everything and everybody under the sun, this amp could make a refeshing change.
I was a little concerned about 50w being a bit quiet, that worry disappeared somewhat quickly.
It\'s loud.
