Cracking Little Amp!

This is a great little amp. The clean sounds are really crystal clear when using a Tele or Strat. It has that Fendery clarity with a bit of warmth too. Pretty amazing for what this amp is!

The tone control goes from muddy to blary to glassy and is still fairly useable at its extremes.

The volume on this two watter is perfectly loud enough for practising and would probably also sound very good recorded (and certainly weighs a lot less than a 40W Deluxe!).

There is a drive control that brings in a buzzy overdrive effect that isn\'t going to break any hearts, but is actually pretty good for a mock 80s punk thrash!

Up at its loudest volume with more than a dollop of overdrive, though, the whole unit starts to distort - and not in a nice musical way, more of a rattling plastic way! This is pretty annoying, but stick to the clean side of things and you should be OK.

The battery compartment needs to be tightened up because the amp just rattles at the slightest push unless the battery compartment lid is taken off. For under £25 for the nice clean sounds on offer, it\'s a minor inconvenience (but a mark off for it).

In summary, this amp is great for practising, general noodling or home recording. I guess this could be used as part of an effect chain to impart some character into the sound. All in all, awesome!
