Its the most versatile midi desk you can find, unfortunately they have a habit of breaking down. My 4 month old MCU started to experience fader calibration errors during the startup routine, then midi control between fader one and the software became intermittent. Mackie have no UK support of their own, they rely on outsourcing to 2 uk specialists (who shall remain nameless).....my MCU was away for 3 months and came back still broken....the second specialist had it for a further 3 weeks and when it returned it was worse than before with every single fader failing the startup calibration test. It seems to be common knowledge that the P&G faders are prone to failure........I wish I had known this beforehand, I would have bought a Command8 (as a pro tools user) instead......

I have just purchased this great product and am really looking forward to owning this great machine i have used one in another studio for some time and the workflow and results with this are absolutely flawless. Its user friendly operation and smooth controls make it the perfect controler for any of the supported applications. I use this controller for Cubase sx and am constantly amazed by the speed that i can carry out various tasks and have a finished audio product in double quick time. I reccomend this controller for anyone serious about perfection...
