A full size, velocity sensitive 49-note USB keyboard with a compact and elegant design, ideal for any home computer setup. There's no need for an external power supply or untidy cabling. Simply plug it into your computers USB port and that's all the connection it needs. Once installed, the Evolution eKeys49 will work with any standard music software, as well as the fantastic Evolution eKeys49 software bundle.

Whether you want to create your own compositions, teach children basic skills such as the alphabet and numbers or learn to play the piano, Evolution eKeys49 does it all.

  • Evolution Picture Board - Picture Board is a fantastic early learning tool which teaches children essentials such as numbers, animal names, household objects and the alphabet, while cleverly introducing them to the music keyboard through a fun combination of sounds and images. You can personalise Picture Board by adding your own images (bit map files) and sounds (wav files), ideal for teaching children the names of family members! It's a great way to learn at many different levels and a perfect introduction to the keyboard.
  • Evolution Music Teacher - Learning the keyboard has never been this much fun. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate or just need a refresher course, there are 30 lessons to take you from the basic steps right through to playing a complete composition. Practice rhythm, pitch or both together, then get a score and comments from the teacher. You can even load in your favourite songs as MIDI files and learn all the different parts! Then play with the rest of the Music Teacher band and enjoy being part of a world class performance.
  • Evolution Sound Studio II - Produce your own music with this multi-track studio. Record individual parts, vocals, live instruments, add effects, even print out the score. From a simply tune to a complex arrangement, Sound Studio can do it all. Go wild with 256 MIDI tracks, 4 stereo audio tracks plus 2 VST plug-ins and 2 virtual instruments. Packed full of pro-features including Audio, Score and Drum editors. eKeys49 USB

On my return to the music scene I needed a keyboard that would keep up with the amount of playing that I'd do on it. I'd had an evolution in the past, (MK149)which was looking a feeling a bit worse for wear...So I looked at various makes and models and stumbled across the eKeys 49...
For what I use it for, the keyboard is perfect, frees up my midi ports as it connects via USB, got more controls than I actually need or will ever use, was as simple as 'Connect and Go'...Plug and play at its best. No complaints from me at all...The keys are nicely weighted, the wife likes it because the colour matches everything else...Women eh...and the respose is great..
Congrats on a cool keyboard at a really good price.

Great keyboard at an excellent price. Unweighted keys perfect for organ or keyboard players.

Works great on Linux using JACK or ALSA and related software (eg. Rosegarden).

Just bought the Evolution Ekeys 49, As I have signed up on a sequencing and sampling course using Reason, I thought I better get a controller for home use this will get me into my dream of creating music. Though I wish I had Reason as we do use it on our course.

Are you and your family ready to add music to your life? eKeys 49 is a compact 49-note music keyboard that plugs right into the USB port of your PC or Mac to work with today’s most popular music software. The included Picture Board, Music Teacher and Sound Studio II VST software are great for learning and making music regardless of your age or experience. Class compliancy with Windows XP and Mac OS X means that you can just plug eKeys 49 into your computer and start making music without even installing any drivers. And while easy to use, the 49-note keyboard with full-sized keys provides the authentic feel of a professional keyboard. The joy and fun of making music doesn’t get any easier than this.
My conclusion is that its only 60 quid and its a great piece of equipment to have around!
