Glyph's fixed-mount tabletop, the GT 050Q, builds upon the success of the original GT 050 and adds FireWire 800, eSATA and USB ports.

Designed for high-speed access to audio and video content, while at the same time offering flexible connectivity options, the GT 050Q is the highest performing Quad interface drive on the market today. the GT 050's durable design features an internal power supply, whisper-queit fan, and 1/8" thick brushed stainless steel face plate. The scratch-resistant black powder-coated aluminum chassis offers additional heat transfer properties while allowing the drive to be lightweight and portable. Available with up to 750GB Seagate SATA 7,200 RPM drives, the GT 050Q comes standard with a three-year warranty that includes overnight advance replacement in the first year.

Glyph review update

Thought I\'d update my review.
After 2 years of very light use my glyph started clicking when turned on then the activity light would light and stay on for ages then it would show on computer.
Now all it does is click and light up.
I\'ll never use glyph again.
If they die with light use how do they cope with pro studio use!
My G-Tech drive has had more use and is fine.

Glyph GT50Q

After a lot of thought about getting a new hard drive to store my logic file I went with the Glyph GT50Q 500gb and how glad I did.
This drive is as quiet as a mouse.
Loads my files fast and has never failed me yet.
I was using a Lacie D2 before and was getting messages on screen saying HD not fast enought to handle files!
Never had that with the Glyph and it comes in a great case to for when im away from home and need to finish work.
Might be more money than other drives but its money well spent!
