The Pathfinder series of VOX amplifiers represents truly outstanding value for money yet captures the very essence and personality of the legend that is VOX. The look and feel of the Pathfinder is inescapably VOX, possessing all of the style of its bigger family members. Small yet perfectly formed, these amps are ideal for practice and recording.
Those instantly recognizable, warm British sounds you’ve come to expect from VOX are alive and well in the compact, 10-Watt Pathfinder 10 combo – plus a high gain capability that’s thoroughly modern!
This 10-Watt, 1 x 6.5" combo’s eye-catching looks are also classic VOX and include basket-weave, leather-look vinyl, our distinctive diamond grille cloth and, of course, chicken head knobs! Small but all-important details such as gold beading and white piping have also been faithfully reproduced, perfectly recapturing the legendary look of VOX.
Little Yet Loud!
The Pathfinder 10’s powerful yet always tone-filled 10-Watt output, makes this amp perfect for home practice, backstage warm-up and recording. The Clean/Overdrive switch allows you to change instantly between clean and dirty sounds. With a mere press of this switch you can go from a crystal clear clean sound to our uniquely warm distortion; or from a slightly crunchy bluesy tone to a high-gain, modern-rock roar.
Headphone/Lineout jack
Want to practice late at night without disturbing your neighbours? No problem! Just plug your headphones into the Headphone/Line Out jack and away you go – your sleeping neighbours won’t hear a thing because using this jack automatically mutes the amp’s speaker! This jack also doubles as a specially filtered Line Out which is perfect for recording your amp without having to worry about setting up any pesky microphones. The Pathfinder 10 also features controls for Gain, Treble, Bass and Volume plus a Clean/Overdrive switch.

This is the first VOX amp I\'ve owned and used, for the £50 price tag this is a great sounding practice/bedroom amp. From the moment I plugged it in I knew I\'d made a good choice.
The tones produced are perfect for the sound I was trying create (umm, a slice of Johnny Marr spliced with Peter Buck wrapped in a warm 60\'s pop blanket). It also looks great, the classic VOX styling really make it stand out.
This little beast has now replaced my original amp, the only downside of this little beauty is I\'m now tempted to pay out the full whack on it\'s big big brother the AC30.....umm maybe after Christmas :)

This amp is possibly being overlooked as it\'s the lowest priced Vox on this site, buyers opting to step up the rung a little and purchase the DA or Valvetronix range with their digital modeling and tube-like sounds, perhaps? This is a shame, as the Pathfinder 10 is an astonishingly good amplifier, a little retro-marvel infact! It\'s not trying to be an all singing all dancing; now I\'m a Marshall stack, now I\'m a Fender Custom, now I\'m a Bee trapped in a shoebox kind of amp...
It\'s a Vox! It looks like a Vox, \'walks like a vox and quacks like a Vox! (note: amplifier does not actually walk).
What appears to be a lack of features actually turn out to be just the opposite, the Gain/Volume knobs + the Clean/Overdrive switch along with a curious mind give you tons of classic sounds. While the distortion can get a little like a mistuned transistor when overdone, the Clean channel, with a hint of gain, is absolutely crystal clear, though a semi-acoustic or archtop this channel is obscenely wonderful!
The cabinet itself looks great, compact but still has presence, although missing a few little touches that you\'d expect if you added a \"0\" onto the price of this amp it has all the Vox hallmarks, chickenheads, cloth, piping, gold trim...
Whats Bad? Switching between Clean / Overdrive channels, without fail, has you scurrying to the volume and gain knobs, don\'t know if its just my guitars - but the volume difference is very obvious.
This amp is quite loud, an old fashioned 10watts of power. It may not compete with an enthusiastic drummer, but it can stun sheep when cranked up 10. It would be a perfect bedroom, living room, recording or coffee-shop amplifier, it has the looks and the sound for that solo or guitar/vocalist appearance in an intimate setting.
If you\'ve got £50 spare... you will not be disappointed, this is a gem that you\'ll never sell.
