Marshall AS100D Acoustic Guitar Amplifier (2x50 Watts, 2x8) Reviews
S'pretty good, a little treble'y sometimes which usually goes when the gig fills up. Loads of power (noise) when you need it, I'd compare it to be much more powerful (louder) than similar amps sporting almost twice the output (watts), could be speaker efficiency. Lotsa knobs which actually do plenty at the slightest turn. Heavy "my ass" its good to carry, but a little awkward on stairs. Leccy or acoustic guitars sound nice through this amp. Its a good one for sure. I never use effects, theyre sorta wickedly nice.
Had this amp for nearly three years, and I use it in my blugrass band with a condenser mic , agreat piece of kit
It\'s simple.... good clean acoustic sound on guitars, mandolins, whistles, flutes and all sorts of other odd things we have put through it!
Controls are easy to use and alter whilst gigging, sound is crisp enough to use on its own in small pub situations, vocal effects range is good improving any voice, and a handy floor siwtch comes with it for instrument effects
Makes a good stage monitor if using pa.
It\'s a heavy lump to carry about but such is life, strong arms or a small trolley make it easier to move
Pricing is good for what you get which is prety much everything an acoustic musician good ask for... link it up to a good guitar and a good voice and you have all you will ever need for playing at home to small gigs, link it to a PA and you will enjoy the lovely sound of an acoustic still sounding acoustic when making sure the folks at the back can hear!
I took a bit of a gamble when I ordered this amp online. I did find some pretty good reviews prior to buying one. I must say this amp does it all very, very well. Low noise floor, powerful output, very articulate nice sounds, no dirtortion even at the highest of levels and plenty of options. Even among the digital effects there are a few I like.
For the price this amp is a steal!
Great work Marshall!
