Please note: The C 411 L has a lemo (mini) XLR connector.  It is designed to be used with either the AKG B 29 L, AKG MPA III L or the AKG WMS bodypack transmitters.  If you do not have one of these devices you will not be able to use the C 411 L microphone, you should purchase the AKG C 519 M instead.

Weighing only 18 grams (0.6 oz.), this ultra-light condenser pickup is ideal for acoustic guitar, mandolin, violin, and most other stringed instruments. The C 411 will give a clear and uncolored sound without changing the balance of the instrument. Attaching the C 411 on or near the bridge or anywhere else on the instrument is easy with the included non-marring, reusable, solventfree adhesive compound.

For use with B 29 L battery operated power supply, MPA III L external phantom power adapter, or AKG WMS bodypack transmitters.

As a gigging cellist, I bought this pickup on the recommendation of the Warsaw Village Band, who I assumed would know their stuff, and as it turned out, they did. You still need to fiddle with the EQs and put loads of reverb on, but this is where to start. It has the added bonus of not being a permanent fixture on your instrument, since it\'s attached with this sticky stuff.
I\'d recommend this to any string player.
