ESI nEar05 eXperience - Pair
After spending ages wading through reviews of monitors under £200, I came across these and got them. What great little monitors they are. Well worth the money and the MoPads that came with them make all the difference on the desk. Just what I needed.
ESI nEar05 eXperience - Great Buy
So after much deliberation I purchased a pair of these and I was that impressed I had to write a review.
They\\\'re great for producing Minimal although a little lacking on the low end for dubstep! What do you expect from a 5\\\" cone thou?? : D
In my search for my perfect pair, I listened to many high end models from manufactures such as KRK, Yamaha, Genelec, Adam etc. These monitors are excellent and compare well to the higher end models from the other brands (KRK VXT) and at under half the price!
Highly recommended!
esi near 05 experience
Great monitor for project studio.
Nice design end good shielding.
Good ratio quality price.
Good price-quality ratio!
Crisp and genuine sound due to a very flat frequency response.
Nice
These strike me as being pretty good value for money. Very nice definition on the high end, and the low end is perfectly satisfactory when you take into account the speakers\' size.
They also go impressively loud, as mentioned in a previous review.
Buy these if you\'re on a budget!
Great preformance-to-price
If you are after a pair of good low-cost near field monitors, ESI nEar05 eXperience is probably what you want. They sound better then they look, and they don't look too bad! Of course, I am talking about the true sound here - so, playing a Dave Grusin CD I nearly got depressed about not being able to record anything like his works, while listening to some pop records I really wanted to adjust the sound here and there, which is an indication the little guys do the job. Whoever says that the blue power indication LED is awesome, don't trust them, but in general - good stuff.
ESI nEar05 eXperience
I personally have never owned my own pair of monitors before but I strongly recommend buying these. It was one of the other reviews that persuaded me to buy them. It said something like "best pair for under 200quid" I totallly agree. Definetly buy these.
ESI nEar05 eXperience
I was looking to set up a small recording studio for the school i work at, the budget was tight so i had to look at the cheaper end of the scale. I was supprised when these monitors turned up how well built they where, also how good they looked with the kevlar drivers!
I was shocked when i played back my first recording how PERFECT these little fellas are, clean ture sound, you can hear every breath down the microphone.
If you are looking for a set of monitors for under £200..... look no further than these, be ready for a supprise!
Good Work ESI
Thanks Dolphin!
ESI nEar05 eXperience monitors
allthough fairly new to the world of monitoring , i had done a large amount of homework on the web for a cost effective monitoring solution. drawn in initially by the kevlar and silk cones at the reasonable price tag. I quickly hurried home to set these up. on first hearing the speakers I enjoyed the very flat response. I would recommend these for any small/medium studio ....the sturdy well made design and small light blue power light are just some of the features that make you fall in love with the speaker.all in all an excellent purchase for newbies and intermediates alike.
Monitors
Cracking set of monitors/speakers.
Definately recommend them
The best experience you'll get for under £200!
It's a rare thing to find a pair of monitors for under £200 that provide anywhere near a flat response, but the ESI nEar05 eXperience monitors do exactly that!
With a clearly defined high-end, and bass responsive enough to fool a listener into thinking they're hearing a subwoofer, these monitors are perfect for getting your mixes balanced perfectly. They certainly pack a punch too - you won't believe the volume they can achieve for a pair of near-fields (though you really don't need to crank them up at all - EVERYTHING in a track can be heard on these at low volumes anyway). Tracks translate perfectly onto every other sound-system I have tried so far - it's safe to say that if your track sounds good on the nEar05's, they're going to sound great anywhere.
In conclusion, whether it's a home-studio solution you're after, or perhaps a more professional application on a budget, you definitely won't regret the ESI nEar05 eXperience! I certainly didn't!
