Laney RB3 Richter Bass Combo.

I was looking for a bass combo suitable for a student to use in a small group backing a choir. In the past I though that you couldn\'t get a nice cutting sound from a small set-up. As usual it took some time and trawling to get an idea of what was out there. The Laney RB3 Richter represented the best value and ticked all the boxes. It\'s the sound from a relativley small box that\'s impressive then it does have a UK designed power section and a 12\" Celestion. Here is a straight forward bass amp that does what it\'s suppose to do. Did I say straight forward then it\'s worth saying that it does have a switchable compressor and an internal limiter that gives plenty of scope for sound shapeing. In the event that it has to be used in a larger context it has a solid metal grill to protect it while moving with twin side handles to save your back and the bonus of a a DI socket to hook into a bigger rig if needed. Not bad value I say.
