Trantec S4000 switchable in ear system Reviews
Im a profesional drummer and i have been using this system since it first came out never had a problem with getting a good mix on stage (had to try out a few different types of in ears though to get the right EQ for my ears) recently found the power adaptor had packed up but found a new one on the Trantec site within minutes
great value for money not the best on the market but certainly one of the most reliable light weight and easy to use
This system is great value for money. My 4 piece rock band have been using this system for 3 years now and it has never let us down once. Build quality is great and it is robust enought to put up with the knocks that regular gigging can bring. The belt packs are not too cumbersome and take a single 9v battery. We have found these last for about 4 hours gig time and then its best to change them otherwise they can die mid-song and leave you singing 'blind'. We are in the process of buying a second one so we can have two seperate mixes - not even bothering to look at a different system.... Money well spent and it will save your ears in the long run if, like us, you like to play loud! \m/
I recently purchased this system - I\'m a pro session singer & sick of struggling to hear myself thro wedge monitors.
Set up is simple - even for someone with no technical knowledge like myself... The manual was tiny, which is always a good sign!!
Transmitter is very light & almost flimsy, but once the battery is in that forms the bulk of the weight and it feels a lot more solid. Battery time outweighs the suggested time it will last significantly. Displays are clear & controls are simple, with only the one knob for volume (which is sturdy & not too easy to knock!) & the headset jack.
The reciever is reassuringly heavy & great build quality. Again displays are excellent & everything is very easy to work.
My only slight disapointment was in the headphones - they are light & a good colour to blend in, but the pads supplied don\'t seal out enough backline noise & whilst the vocal was coming thro clearly, I still had a lot of back ground noise to contend with.
After 8 hrs of continuous wear, my battery is still healthy, my ears are tired, but no ringing or sensation whatsoever & my voice feels terrific as I haven\'t been fighting to be heard.
I would def recommend them 100%, tho I\'d recommend trying some noise cancelling headphones with them, or better still (if you can afford it) going for custom moulds.
