Roland have won the Best Electronic Gear category in Rhythms Best of 2006 annual awards for the “Electronic wonder” that is the TD20-K, with the TD-3KW taking a respectable third place. Rhythm is the UK’s leading magazine for drummers and percussionists in the UK, and had awarded this category to Roland every year for the last six years – the TD-10K claiming the top spot before the TD-20K took to the throne.

Used the TD 20, live and recording for the last 18 months.
Superb bit of kit with only a few draw backs.
The downsides first: The hi-hats and ride cymbals just don\'t have the feel. They are hard work on the wrists with no stick feel.
The upside: The rest of the kit is magic. The snare takes a little getting into but the toms, kick and crash cymbals are fine.
The nice part is the number of kits available at the push of a button.(or click of a foot pedal).
I use four different kits on one number, no problem!
I run the kit through 2 x TDA 700\'s plus a stereo feed to the P.A. mixer.
The sound is megga!
The only improvement I could sugest to a new user is throw away the hats and ride, mike up some Zildjians and you\'ll have the DOGS!!
