The GPO Sibelius Edition brings the award-winning sounds of the highly acclaimed Garritan Personal Orchestra, which includes high quality samples of the some world's greatest and rare orchestral instruments (Stradivarius violins etc.), into the sonic repertoire of your composition workstation. Specially designed to integrate with Sibelius 4, the GPO Sibelius Edition offers 270 pitched instruments plus five unpitched percussion ensembles (containing 58 separate percussion sounds), of which you can play up to 32 at once. All the major instruments of the orchestra
It includes all the major instruments of the orchestra - strings, brass, woodwinds, and percussion - as well as ones not found in other orchestral libraries, such as a Steinway concert grand piano and a Stradivarius violin. With 270 pitched instruments and five unpitched percussion ensembles containing 58 separate percussion sounds, the collection even contains subtly different versions of the same instrument to distinguish players, allowing you to hear your score played back with stunningly realistic quality.

Lifelike Performance
Garritan Personal Orchestra integrates seamlessly with Sibelius 4, and automatically reads and interprets performance indications such as articulation marks, playing techniques, slurs and dynamics (including hairpins on sustained notes) to make full use of GPO's advanced sample programming, providing an exceptionally lifelike performance of your score. Plus, the samples include subtly different versions of the same instrument to distinguish players (e.g. Trumpets 1 and 2). This allows you to build your own orchestra and avoid phase issues associated with stacking samples.

Special version of Native Intruments Kontakt
The collection comes with a special version of the acclaimed Kontakt sample player from Native Instruments, which lets you play 32 different sounds at once, and includes a range of adjustable parameters - reverb, brightness, tuning and other audio characteristics - so you can control the sound of each instrument individually. You can even export an audio file to create a CD of your music, or convert to an MP3 file.
