There is no break at 3:17. Correct link?Added:Your second link is much betetr, thanks. The drum break there is most likely, a speed pedal and some awesome talent on the part of the Drummer. It does not sound like double pedal and I suspect that the piece is too old to be DP anyway. If you practice your bass pedal for speed you will eventually get that fast and sure. We can also hear the ghost notes on the snare which just adds to the effect.Keep practising your bass technique, but remember speed alone is not the whole goal.Good luck and paradiddles.
